Cooking With Mom
Sketti Squares (Episode 6, September 4, 2006)
- Cook up a box of the finest (read: cheapest)Â spaghetti your local store has to offer.
- While it’s boiling away, lightly oil a 9×13 baking dish.
- When the spaghetti is done, drain, cool and mix with one egg, a sprinkle of whatever cheese you like, and whatever tasty herbs you have on hand.
- Pour into oiled pan.
- Cover with one jar of spaghetti sauce. Ragu is good, but always make your buying decisions based on price.
- Top with cheese and whatever else might taste good.
- Bake in pre-heated oven at 350 degrees for around 35 minutes.
- Remove squares from the oven and leave to rest before cutting.
- Now eat it up!
Spaghetti and Ketchup (Episode 3, August 13, 2006)
- Cook as much spaghetti as you want. Drain and set aside
- In pot, melt 2-4 tbsp of butter, or margarine if you like to believe that’s healthier. (amount depends on amount of pasta you made)
- Squirt in “enough” ketchup. Enough means enough to nicely cover your spaghetti.
- Stir until blended
- Add pasta back into the sauce pot
- Mix well and enjoy your mouthwatering feast!
