FAQ
1. Can you do this Nintendo 64
screenshot for me? I love Paper Mario.
No, probably not. I concentrate on NES paintings because my childhood was
based around that system for one, and because 8-bit doesn't call for skills that
I don't have. Maybe I'll get into SNES some day.
2. How big are the paintings?
Most of them so far have been 16" x 20". But I have done some
10" squares, and other sizes, so I'll do any size you want.
3. How much do the paintings
cost?
The 16" x 20" paintings have gone for $30 and up. I do
10" x 10" ones for $20. Otherwise,
it really depends on the size of the canvas and how complex the image is.
4. Isn't this copyright
infringement?
Maybe! But I call it Pop Art. Artists have been appropriating commercial
images for a long time, and the argument for it is much too complicated to get
into on a little FAQ page. I'm sure you can read up on it on
elsewhere.
5. What's up with the upcoming
commissions list?
That's a list of commission work I have to do, roughly in the order I plan to do
them. Roughly. Usually I have a bunch in various stages of
completion.
6. You suck. Anybody could do
this.
Yes. I will be the first to admit I suck. I have no artistic training
and started doing this on a lark as a hobby. There are much more talented
people out there working on some amazing video game themed art. Some links:
